Center for
Economic
Mobility
The Center for Economic Mobility will be a destination in East Palo Alto where residents can come for career training and job opportunities designed to promote upward economic mobility.
Emerson Collective and JobTrain will develop 2535 Pulgas Avenue into a new class-A building known as the Center for Economic Mobility (CEM). This is part of phase 1 of the overall EPA Waterfront project.
The CEM site is situated directly adjacent to Bloomhouse, and it will be transformed into a multi-story office building, in partnership with JobTrain. JobTrain will move its operations from its Menlo Park office into the new development including: career-training services, an on-site preschool, youth services, and Cañada College. Moreover, JobTrain will add new programs curated to address the evolving employment needs of companies in Silicon Valley.
Construction of the Center for Economic Mobility is planned to start in 2025.
