Bloomhouse is a part of social impact organization Emerson Collective. We believe deeply in the past, present and future of East Palo Alto, and will work to sustain this thriving community for years to come.
Our Team

Ariane leads the community development work collaborating with local non-profits and residents. She is passionate about making sure everyone has a voice in creating the best future for themselves and their community, especially encouraging those voices that have been disproportionately overlooked. She has a background in Environmental Science and has worked on issues of environmental and racial justice, community and youth engagement, and at College Track in East Palo Alto.

Mia focuses on socially responsible real estate development in East Palo Alto. She has a background in civil and environmental engineering, sustainable design and construction, and impact investing. Mia believes that real estate is a powerful tool that can be used for social change and, as a Bay Area native, she is passionate about creating opportunities for and positive impact on communities in the bay.

Brittnee works on the facilities team as the Site Coordinator. She helps to maintain the site and supports the community in reserving the Bloomhouse space for events. Brittnee is long-time resident of East Palo Alto and has been involved in the community serving on the Measure C committee and as an active volunteer. She has a Mental Health background and has provided therapy to youth and adults in South Central LA as well as foster families in the Bay Area.

Mele serves as the manager of community collaborations. She is a long-time resident of East Palo Alto and grew up in programs like College Track and the East Palo Alto Junior Golf Program. She has served in areas focusing in mental health, immigration, mentorship and climate change. She currently serves as the President of the Ravenswood City School District Board of Trustees.

Rebecca is our site operations coordinator. She manages all our East Palo Alto properties and works with our tenants. She has a background in facilities management, habitat restoration, and conservation having worked for over a decade with both city and national parks in the bay area.

Brad is Managing Director at Emerson Collective. Prior to joining Emerson, Brad’s career spanned different sectors including public accounting, management consulting, financial services, and commercial real estate. He has launched and built several startups and worked in large corporate and multinational organizations.
